TRANSFERRING TO ANOTHER UNIVERSITY – ONLINE PROCEDURE (2024/2025 A.Y.)

This is an online-only procedure. You don’t need to bring any documentation, and every payment will be made online.

Application requirements

To transfer to another University, you must first be enrolled in the 2023/2024 Academic Year and have no further financial obligation (i.e., make sure all of your taxes have been paid).

Students can apply starting from the 1st of August 2024 until the 31st of January 2025 by following the appropriate procedure in your esse3 page. Please be mindful of the deadlines set by the University of your choosing when applying.

Administration will check your payment status and notify you of the outcome at your request, and will bill any missing taxes.

How to apply

Students will need to log into their own esse3 page and select “REGISTRAR’S OFFICE”, then “APPLY FOR TRANSFER” (listed as “DOMANDA DI TRASFERIMENTO IN USCITA”), and follow the steps.

Should students choose to enroll in a scheduled course in another University, they must also upload a document that authorizes the transfer (which is given by the University they chose) in their attachment section of their esse3 page (ALLEGATI CARRIERA), and confirm the upload by filling out the “NOTE” section (NOTES).

How to pay for the Transfer Tax (200 € + 16 € stamp)

After completing the application procedure, students must pay the 200 € transfer tax and the 16 € stamp, along with any other missing fees. These can only be paid via “PagoPA” and can be found in the “PAYMENTS" section (PAGAMENTI) of their esse3 page.

Failure to do so can impede the procedure and make the application impossible to approve, and the student’s career record won’t be sent to the welcoming University.

No physical stamps are needed, as every payment is made online.
