The withdrawal procedure is an online-only procedure. You don’t need to bring any documentation, and every payment will be made online.
Application requirements
To withdraw from your studies, please make sure you have no further financial obligation relating to the year in which you have enrolled (i.e., make sure all of your taxes have been paid). Note that enrollment coincides with the payment of the first tax. Administration will check your payments and notify you of the outcome at your request, and will bill any missing taxes.
Starting from the 2020/2021 Academic Year, as stated by Article 4e of the Tax Regulation, any student that applies for withdrawal must have paid any and all expired taxes when doing so, in regard to the year in which they’re currently enrolled in. The year in which they withdraw from their studies is the most recent year in which they paid the first or any other tax.
How to apply
The student will need to log into their own esse3 page and select “REGISTRAR’S OFFICE”, then “APPLY FOR WITHDRAWAL” (listed as “DOMANDA DI RINUNCIA AGLI STUDI”), and follow the steps.
After completing the procedure, the student must pay any missing or expired taxes and the virtual stamp, which will be automatically generated. Failure to do so can impede the procedure and make the application impossible to approve.
No physical stamps are needed, as every payment is made online.
